Over the past 20 years, Indonesia has been through a series of substantial reforms. Indonesia now sits as a democracy with increased wisdom whilst continuing to carry the mantle of leadership, particularly within Southeast Asia.
At present, Indonesia is nestled in the heart of Southeast Asia’s resurgence of innovation that has accelerated digital transformation, sustainability and the need to build a stronger architecture for global health. This of course is met with contemporary issues at home that are integral to Indonesia’s growth such as the importance of implementing good governance within the public sector, the country’s resonance with the values of human rights in practice and the significance of delivering policies that create impact throughout the lives of the Indonesian people.
With the knowledge of the challenges and opportunities vested upon Indonesia, Policy+ seeks to become a catalyst that will cultivate the arenas of research, policy dialogue and insights into new frontiers. In doing so, Policy+ intends to disrupt the current status quo of think-tanks in Indonesia by mixing conventional approaches and shattering glass ceilings through the engagement of young emerging leaders as close collaborators as well as extending partnerships with senior experts. Hence, Policy+ seeks to develop research, tools, insights and/or policy recommendations that have strong methodological roots but is grounded in the need to present practical and data-driven solutions that takes the current international climate into consideration.
